The: Little England: of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls, and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya, You will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen style mansions

Temple of the Tooth Relic
Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which
houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.
Botanical gardens
147 acres in extent: started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the king’s of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of trees and plants. Some and endemic as well as flora form the tropical world.
Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with Tourists.
4th Day
Kandy to Sigiriya

Dambulla is famous for the five caves Temple on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older, and larger than the other two. Some caves date to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of gods and kings are also found here.

Sigiriya is home to the 5th century “Fortress in the sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic signal wonder of the island. It is also known as lion rocks because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. within its triple-moated defense, the huge rock rises to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with a swimming pool. On one of the stairways, the only known ancient work of the Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original color.

When early in the 11th century AD Anuradapura suffered one of the worst of its Indian invasions, Polonnaruwa then fortified with three concentric walls and beautified with many parks and gardens became the next sear of rule. The city itself has many ancient shrines and is well known for the unique irrigation complex known as the sea of parakrama-so vast was its scale.

128 miles from Colombo is Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first capital founded about the 4th century BC. The pre-Christian capital is a stately metropolis of striking monuments, parks, and irrigation lakes. The 1st-century BC Abayagiri and 3rd-century Jetawana (dome-shaped Buddhist relic shrines, a UNESCO world heritage site) are classed after monuments. The 2,200 years old sacred Bo thee, the royal twin baths, and the Isurumuniya lovers are some of many Anuradapura wonders.

Wilpattu National Park is a park located on the island of Sri Lanka. The unique feature of this park is the existence of “Willus” (Natural lakes) – Natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater. Located in the Northwest coast lowland dry zone of Sri Lanka.The park is 1,317 square kilometers (131, 693 hectares) and ranges from 0 to 152 meters above sea level. Nearly sixty lakes (Willu) and tanks are found spread throughout Wilpattu. Wilpattu is the largest and one of the oldest National Parks in Sri Lanka. Wilpattu is among the top national parks world-renowned for its leopard population.
